John F Kennedy Intl airport on October 4, 2010 – Flight Delta 2362
Our flight was almost an hour late and it was 1am. After we got off
the plane we went to the baggage carousel where we waited 30 mins.
After everyone leaving and no new bags going around I spoke to a
security guard that had nothing to say. We walked over to the baggage
lost and found dept. As we walked up, 3 out of the 4 Delta Employees
walked out of the office. The one employee that was left ran after them
noticing that a few people from our flight also lost their bags. They refused to return.
After waiting on a line for another 30 mins we spoke to a delta
employee that was clearly bothered. By the time we left the air port
it was 2:30am. Not one time did anyone mention that we would be
reimbursed for checking our bag.
Also, it really bothers me that since delta makes you pay $25
dollars to check your bag, no one does. So when you get on the plane,
all the overhead storage is filled with other passenger’s bags. We
were in zone 4 and got on line as soon as our zone was called. When we boarded,
almost every overhead storage was filled. The one directly above us
was filled and no one else was in our row.
Also when I paid $6 dollars to rent a movie I had to sit through a 4
minute Delta ad. That is just ridiculous.
After this poor service I will think twice on flying delta again.
